How Long Should You Stay Away from a Sealed Driveway?

When applied in the right conditions, you can walk on a sealed pavement three hours after application. But if you want to drive on it, you need to wait at least 12 hours for it to dry and cure. If it's cloudy or if rain is expected, the drying and curing process will take much longer. For the best results, we suggest that you use the entrance 48 to 72 hours after applying the sealing layer.

During the summer months, from May to August, we recommend keeping vehicles away from the entrance for 48 hours. After September 1st, wait 72 hours or more, depending on the temperature. The sealer will dry like paint from top to bottom. It may feel dry on the surface, but it can still be damp underneath.

You can walk down the driveway as soon as it feels dry to the touch, usually just a few hours in sunny areas. Allow more time to be spent in shady areas at all times.
